The acronym NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, which is basically an irreplaceable record of data on a decentralized online database also known as a blockchain. The thing that sets NFTs apart from different types of cryptocurrency is their ability to be paired with any sort of virtual or digitalized media (picture, sound, video, etc.). The technology behind NFTs makes it possible to make each piece one of a kind (non-fungible), while also providing a certificate of exclusive ownership over a digital artwork.
